BREAKING: First Conservative seat in Sheffield in 20 years

The Conservative Party have won their first council seats in Sheffield since 2004 after they won a seat in Stocksbridge and Upper Don as Labour haemorrages votes.

Conservative candidate Lewis Chinchen defeated the incumbent Labour councillor Lisa Baines by 1822 to 1325 votes.

This follows the nationwide trend of a massive surge for the Conservative Party alongside serious losses for Labour.
